As a rule of thumb, the Public Cloud suits companies that largely rely on the proven SAP standard. It is faster to implement, cheaper to run and always up to date. The Private Cloud offers more room for individual adaptations. In the Digital Discovery Assessment we look at your processes together and give a clear recommendation.

Your data is not lost. As a rule, we transfer the data required for ongoing operations to the new system, typically master data (customers, suppliers, materials, accounts), open items and balance carry-forwards. The complete transaction history rarely has to move along. It can be archived in an audit-proof way and remains accessible if needed. This keeps the new system lean, and you still meet all retention obligations. What exactly is transferred, we define together in a migration concept.

It depends on scope and approach, a flat number would not be serious. A focused implementation project in the Public Cloud can go live within a few months, larger projects with many processes and integrations take correspondingly longer. So that you get a reliable figure, we determine effort and schedule before the quote in the Digital Discovery Assessment. Realistic rather than sugar-coated.

Yes. Your existing system keeps running throughout the project. The implementation takes place in parallel on the new system, your day-to-day business is not affected. Only for the actual switch, the cut-over around go-live, there is a short, precisely planned time window. We agree on this with you early on, usually on a weekend or a low-revenue period, so that the impact stays minimal.

Not as a blunt 1:1 copy, and that is an opportunity. In a new implementation (greenfield) we build your configuration cleanly on the basis of proven SAP best practices. We deliberately leave out the legacy that has accumulated over the years, and we map what you really need in a targeted way. In the Public Cloud this is done through standardized configuration instead of classic custom development. This keeps your system future-proof and update-ready. In the fit-gap analysis we clarify together which of your processes the standard covers directly and where there is real need for adaptation.
