Four decades of SAP change

The software world has changed fundamentally over the past four decades, and with it the opportunities for mid-sized companies. For 40 years, HPC Aktiengesellschaft has stood by mid-sized companies when it comes to turning technological change into business progress. The company was founded by Josef Heck on 24 June 1986 as Heck & Partner Consulting GmbH in Schriesheim and has since helped shape every technology generation in the SAP ecosystem: from the first R/3 projects and the widespread ERP roll-out in the mid-market to today’s transformation projects in the cloud. In 1999, the company was renamed HPC Aktiengesellschaft. Today, 85 employees work at the Mannheim and Hamburg sites.

Family-owned

What has set HPC apart across all technology generations is the combination of in-depth expertise and personal continuity. The company is still majority-owned by the founding family, which is also represented on the management board by Christian Heck, son of founder Josef Heck. These roots stand for a corporate culture in which long-term partnerships count for more than short-term project success.

The anniversary celebration

HPC is celebrating its 40th anniversary on Friday, 26 June 2026, with a celebration at Gutshof Ladenburg together with customers, partners and long-standing companions. Anja Schneider, member of the SAP Supervisory Board, will give a speech as guest speaker, underlining the close, long-standing partnership between HPC and SAP.
