SAP SCE Platform

Modern Global Business Processes with SAP®

Increasingly complex logistics chains lead to immense amounts of data and a constantly increasing information flow between all parties. In combination with increasing requirements for transparency, the SAP® ERP modules SAP® LE-TRA and SAP® WM are frequently overburdened.

Efficient & Performant Logistics Systems

In order to efficiently map all processes, in the meantime, additional functions have become necessary with regard to speed, flexibility, and transparency. The SAP® Supply Chain Execution Platform interlinks the SAP® Extended Warehouse Management , SAP® Transportation Management (TM), and SAP® Event Management (EM) operative logistics systems in one single system-oriented platform.

Depending on the size of the business and quantities involved, the solutions can be scaled and the logistic processes can be designed to be more flexible as well as reliable, for example, by differentiating between process- and layout-oriented warehouse controlling.

The SAP® SCE platform offers the controllability of all processes in real time. In this way, logistics specialists, plant managers, and buyers are well-informed at all times. In general, through the use of the platform, process security and therefore also adherence to deadlines and customer satisfaction, are guaranteed.

One platform for all

Delivery takes place synchronously, so implementation is possible in an instant. That also means that the individual processes of the three previously individual solutions can now be more easily integrated via the SCE platform. This integrated approach creates a basis in order to avoid process and system breaks. Data can be transferred via a direct connection from SAP® ERP; no additional interface is necessary.

Through the networking and integration of the three components, a seamless logistics chain is created. Therefore, for example, in EWM, a more efficient wave planning of the picking processes can take place if it contains additional important information from TM and EM.

Even storage and from-bin strategies can be adjusted if it is known from the TM-System what time which transport service provider arrives at the location. This way, optimal utilization of all resources can be achieved. The forklift system, HU management, and the Material Flow System (MFS) are also fully integrated.
